Industry Thoughts and Insight by Christopher Regan

“What’s next from Regan?”   It’s a question frequently asked of me by our vendors, customers, and sometimes even employees.  Sometimes it is a difficult question to answer depending on who is asking and more importantly who Regan Technologies is to you.  There have been different answers to this question over the last fourteen years and there will probably be some variation of the answer for the next fourteen, all depending on your perspective.

Before I can address what’s next, it’s important to note what we provide now.  First and foremost, we provide consistency.  When I take a look at our Customer list – it is not uncommon to see names that have been there for 10 years.  We’re a constant presence in times of constant change.  What I find most interesting is that our industry has (arguably) only been in existence for roughly twenty years and we’ve been around for the majority of that time. 

The IT industry is seeing many revolutionary changes and we adapt as necessary in order to better service our customers.  A good example of this is how the definition of a value added reseller (VAR) has changed.  We’ve evolved from a hardware-centric VAR focused on a limited subset of product to a service-centric VAR focused on both long and short term solution solving.  No longer is Regan Technologies focused on a single vendor solution but on a wide range of complimentary products and solutions based on industry standards.  This industry dictates the need for adaptability in order to continue to better serve our customers.

So.. What’s next?  Actually – it’s more of the same, only better.
